La Vie Colorée: Street Style: Oversized Denim Jacket (The 80's Denim Jacket)

This time I come with my new trend crush: the oversized denim jacket. To tell you the truth, when I started seeing them around, I wasn't that convinced about them. But the past week, I saw someone wearing one with a beautiful dreamy kind of girly vintage dress and pointy heel and that was it.... booom! Love at 100th sight! Lol!

Esta vez vengo con un post para mostrarles mi reciente fashion-love-affair: las casacas de denim extra grandes. Sí... esas bien ochenteras que por lo general vemos en looks bien relax y medio rockeros. Siendo sincera, la verdad es que no me convencían tanto cuando las comencé a ver... pero la semana pasada vi a una chica usando un vestido hermoso, fluido muy femenino con tacos en punta, super chic, y encima una casaca de jean grandota y se acabó el no-convencimiento....fue amor a 100a vista! jajaja

It's crazy how the styling that the person chooses for wearing a piece can change your mind completely to actually like something that you didn't like that much. That's why I'm in love, infatuated and I feel so much fashion for fashion & styling, such amazing art that never stops surprising me.

I think it's a very versatile piece: perfect for adding some edge to a more chic, girly or glam style and that can perfectly complement a more laid back, grungy or rocker style. Definitivamente el detalle siempre está en el styling que la persona haya elegido, por eso ando fascinada, embelezada, enamorada y apasionada con la moda y el styling, nunca me dejan de sorprender!!!

Me parece un pieza sumamente versátil es capaz de añadir un toque audaz a una look elegante, femenino o glamoroso y al mismo tiempo, puede complementar perfectamente un look más relajado, rocker o grunge.

This is one of the combinations that I like the most. Why? First because is really unexpected, but also because, I'm thinking of the gal that works at a very formal office, but then after work wants to have some fun and add a little edge and trend to her 9to5 outfit and boom!!! She just needs to add an oversized denim jacket... and voila! she's ready to have some after-office-happy-hour-fun with her super cool friends! Isn't that awesome? Now you just have to imagine this girl actually using an oversized denim jacket but I think this pic gives a good idea.

Esta quizás es una de mis combinaciones favoritas! ¿Por qué? Primero porque es de lo más inesperada, pero también porque pienso en tantas chicas que tienen que ir con un código de vestimenta súper formal a la chamba, pero luego de la ofi quieren salir con las amigas/os y con solo añadirle una casaca 80tera ya se ve un look más moderno y en tendencia! No les parece lo máximo que con una sola pieza puedan dar ese giro!? Ahora solo les queda imaginarse que esta chica está usando una casaca más ochentera! jejeje Pero con la foto se entiende la idea! ;)
