My denim high waist skirt [Mi falda de denim a la cintura]

 

Happy 4th of july!!!  Back in the blog to share a very special post.  If you follow me through Instagram or Facebook, you probably have already seen this skirts here and there.  I've been meaning to finish it for weeks (maybe months?)  and finally is done and I love it so much!!!

Feliz 4 de julio!!! A quien ande por aquí en Estados Unidos de vacaciones y quizás celebre el día de la Independencia hoy :)  Por fin de vuelta al blog, luego de unos días muy ocupados para compartir un post muy especial! :)  Si me siguen por Instagram o Facebook, seguramente deben haber visto esta falda aquí y allá.  Quería terminarla desde hace semanas (quizás meses?) y finalmente está lista y me encaaanta!!! :)))

I'm infatuated with high waisted everything and crop tops.  The funny thing is that I only have two crop tops and both are white.  I need to get my paws on some more soon.  I just absolutely love how both look together.  Reminds me of the Saris that Indian women wear all over India.  It's actually funny, because when you visit this country, you have be so careful with what you wear: do not show the shoulders, try not to wear anything too tight, the higher the neckline of your shirts the better... everything to be respectful with their culture and of course, protecting yourself from any unpleasant experience.  But, when it comes to wearing saris, almost all women are showing their upper abdomen all the time.  Isn't that paradoxic? :P Anyways, going back to my love for these pieces, you'll better prepare yourself to see me wearing a lot of high waisted skirts, shorts and if I find nice ones, probably pants.

Estoy perdidamente enamorada de toda prenda que sea a la cintura y de los polos cortos o midriffs (también conocidos como polos crop o crop tops).  Lo gracioso es que solo tengo dos crop tops y ambos son blancos, así que planeo abastecerme bien para el verano con algunos colores y modelos más jiji

Los crop tops me hacen acordar demasiado a los saris que las mujeres en India usan por todas partes.  Algo paradójico de India es que cuando vas te tienes que cuidar un montón al vestir: no usar nada muy pegado, cubrirse los hombros, faldas y pantalones por lo menos  hasta la rodilla y así... pero cuando se trata de usar saris, todas las mujeres y jóvenes andan enseñado la parte de arriba de la panza como si nada.  Siempre me pareció muy curioso.

En fin... volviendo al tema, solo me queda decirles que se preparen, porque me verán con muchas prendas a la cintura y crops este verano.  Si andan en pleno invierno, espero que les pueda servir de inspiración cuando llegue su primavera-verano.  Les dejo las fotos.
